Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why pledge?
A: To meet new people on and off campus and create supportive and lasting relationships! You will also build commitment, professionalism, social ethics, and dedication by learning how to conduct meetings and presentations, as well as organize fundraisers, social events and community service projects.
Q: What exactly is pledgeship?
A: Pledgeship follows the idea that you are a Little Sister in-training. Everything that the Little Sisters are required to complete in the process has a meaning and is something that all sisters have gone through and completed. Throughout the process Little Sisters will learn to work not only with each other, but also with the Big Sisters.
Q: Will I be forced to drink during pledgeship?
A: No. We the organization and its members would never force anyone to do anything against her will or that could potentially danger her health.
Q: Does this sorority haze?
A: No. This organization and its members DO NOT haze. This organization and its members would not make a Little Sister do anything members wouldn't do themselves. Everyone in the organization has gone through the process and its members are all women who would never have degraded themselves to become a member.
Q: How much does pledgeship cost?
A: There is a non-refundable fee that must be paid during the pledgeship process. This fee provides many of the materials and events throughout pledgeship. None of it goes to the sorority; it is entirely on the Little Sisters. This fee ranges from year to year but is kept as minimal as possible.
Q: What are the requirements to pledge?
A: One must come to a mandatory informational and while there complete the application provided. One must also have a 2.5 GPA and be in good academic standing with the university.
